Designed by Pierre Jungers for the Optical Palazzo collection.

The color palette explores red in all its depth: from almost black carmine to muted roses, crimson, and vermilion, each tone builds a depth that evokes velvet stretched over wood paneling, the dark stone of cathedrals, the veined marble of Italian palaces.

The geometry repeats the same motif of interlocking frames, which carves out the surface, opening it to a background that recedes without ever disappearing. An effect of a false bottom, of interior architecture, as if the rug contained a room within a room.

The composition is frontal and symmetrical, but the subtle variation of hues in the repetition prevents any coldness. It is a dense, lived-in piece that calls for dark interiors and noble materials.

Sample

Receive a sample to appreciate the color, texture, and relief of the rug before ordering a large format.

Size: 20 × 20 cm. Made in the same finish and with the same materials as the final rug.

As screens can alter color perception, the sample allows you to precisely validate the shade and density of the wool in your interior.

A 20 € voucher is offered for any sample ordered, fully deductible from your future order.

Maintenance tips

A Rugier rug is a living textile piece, hand-tufted in dense wool.
With simple and regular care, it will maintain its texture and the depth of its colors for many years.

Vacuum 1 to 2 times a week with a smooth nozzle, without a rotating brush.
A slight loss of fibers may occur at the beginning: this is natural and will diminish over time.
In case of a stain, dab immediately without rubbing and avoid harsh products.
Cut protruding threads; never pull them.

Professional cleaning is recommended every 3 to 4 years.

The rug wasn't in stock when I ordered, so there was about a six week wait. The team kept me updated throughout, which made the wait easy to manage. Worth it in the end. The quality justifies the timeline.

Abigail M. London

Charlotte d C., Paris

Ordered after receiving a sample. The wool is dense, the colors more vivid in person, the carving detail precise. It anchors the room without dominating it. Packaging was handled with care.

Emma W. Marlow

The depth of color is something the photos don’t fully capture. Rich texture, clean finish, and careful packaging. The room feels different with it. Excellent communication throughout.

James H. Chipping Norton

Pilar O. Madrid

The sample system made the decision easy. The Felix arrived in perfect condition, the graphic pattern is sharp and the wool quality holds up to close inspection. Very nice experience.

Sarah K. London
