A textile interpretation of the painterly gesture. Broad red strata, crossed by traces that evoke both the brush and the work of bare hands, compose a dense and vibrant surface.
The material seems to have been pushed, stretched, scraped — like paint still wet. The variations of red, deep and muffled, create a visual rhythm that shifts depending on the distance from which it is seen.
Technique.
This hand-tufted rug in New Zealand wool features a subtle play of pile heights: the deep red is cut at 10mm, while the lighter and intermediate reds are cut at 14mm, bringing relief to the surface pattern. Cotton backing. Edges tufted to the border, cut flush, for a precise and contemporary silhouette.

Hand-tufted rug from Bhadohi, North India. Medium density: approximately 4.6 kg of wool per m², ensuring a generous, dense, and durable material. This rug offers a soft, very thick, and comfortable feel.
Each piece is handcrafted. Slight variations may occur and contribute to the unique character of each rug.

As screens can alter color perception, the sample allows you to precisely validate the shade and density of the wool in your interior.

Maintenance tips
Maintenance tips
A Rugier rug is a living textile piece, hand-tufted in dense wool.
With simple and regular care, it will maintain its texture and the depth of its colors for many years.
Vacuum 1 to 2 times a week with a smooth nozzle, without a rotating brush.
A slight loss of fibers may occur at the beginning: this is natural and will diminish over time.
In case of a stain, dab immediately without rubbing and avoid harsh products.
Cut protruding threads; never pull them.
Professional cleaning is recommended every 3 to 4 years.

Delivery
All our orders are shipped with Geodis, a specialist in furniture and large item transport. Your rugs are delivered directly to your door, with delivery tracking.
For in-stock models, allow 5 to 10 business days. For rugs made to order (specified on each product page), manufacturing takes 5 weeks. You will be informed at each stage.
The rugs are carefully rolled and protected for transport.

In accordance with current legislation, you have a period of 14 days after receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal (excluding custom-made rugs).
Return costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in the case of a proven defect.

The rug wasn't in stock when I ordered, so there was about a six week wait. The team kept me updated throughout, which made the wait easy to manage. Worth it in the end. The quality justifies the timeline.
